Sloppy service and cold food - review added on Tue 21st Sep 2004

The place is big and its décor looks bright and friendly. Those are the only positive things about this restaurant. We decided to check the place with another couple and all ordered simple cheese beef burgers with bacon. You can’t go wrong with a simple cheese burger order right?! Totally wrong.. Keep reading.. We asked if we can state how our burgers are cooked and the waitress confirmed, so a couple asked to remove the bacon and get the burgers well done, and the other asked to get their burgers medium cooked. 5 minutes later she came back apologizing that two of the burgers might come first since there is no way the chef can time their cooking so that all 4 of us can eat together! After accepting her weird remark we decided to take the risk as we were really hungry, after two minutes she returned again smiling sheepishly and apologizing that it is a bad day and that it is not even possible to cook the burgers to our liking since it is a Saturday and they don’t actually cook their burgers fresh over weekends but pre-cook them in the morning -several hours back since it was late afternoon- to a well done state, of course we were a little disappointed but accepted to get them well done to be able to eat together.Around 20 minutes later she came back with only two burgers! She apologized again that the two ordered without bacon were actually done with bacon and she had to send them back to the kitchen to get another two new ones cooked. As the food was getting cold the first couple started eating their semi-cold burgers. 10 minutes later she came back with the two “supposedly” non-bacon replacements, guess what! One was “With” bacon. She apologized again and got another replacement for the fourth person after 2 minutes. She quickly stated that they will offer us a discount on the bill or give us a free soft drink round.. but she stated that in an abrupt and non-negotiable tone as though we should be grateful, she left the table without offering us napkins, forks or knifes!We didn’t want to ruin our small outing, but at that point we had to call another waiter and complain about the poor service, he apologized and got the missing napkins and cutlery.As you can imagine, the burgers tasted cold, greasy and pre-cooked because they actually are!! Upon leaving I asked the waiter if they had a business card with the restaurant address he said yes and went to get one.. Never to return back! Probably sensing that we might write the management about it.That happened Saturday Sep 18th, 2004 at 2 pm
