Fine dining in an elegant restaurant with an extensive wine list. - review added on Wed 15th Dec 1999
The food was exquisitely presented and tasted even better than it looked. The Scallops with caviar was superb, and the duck cooked to perfection. The Arkle has one of the most extensive wine lists I have ever seen although you need deep pockets to get more than half way down.

The food was exquisitely presented and tasted even better than it looked. The Scallops with caviar was superb, and the duck cooked to perfection. The Arkle has one of the most extensive wine lists I have ever seen although you need deep pockets to get more than half way down.
The service is, if anything, overly attentive. Although formal dress is not required I would recommend that you do, or risk feeling severely out of place.
