A Hidden Gem In The Heart Of The North East. - review added on Wed 15th Dec 1999
Simply wonderful fresh cooking by a chef/owner who really takes pride in producing high quality dishes, at a reasonable price. Excellent short range and quick lunchtime menu, just as high a quality, but not as fussy as the evening menu. Great atmosphere, attentive service, super decor (recently refurbished), good wine list, Well worth visiting if you like really good cooking ... you will not be disappointed.

Does simple food very well and more intricate and elegant things with class. The food reflects care, taste and skill are all involved in its production. Relaxed and relaxing atmosphere. I like the place and I have had some of the best bought meals there. Consistently good, a place to look forward to.
