The food arrives too quickly to be freshly prepared, more reheated and rushed out. During the week the £15 all you can eat is probably about right, but at the weekends the food is definitely not worthy of the higher prices.

Best Chinese Restaurant In Basildon - review added on Wed 3rd Oct 2007

The Jade Palace is always on top form, doesn't matter which day you visit. The staff are always poltie and familiar. The food is really tasty and they have a brilliant selection all through the week. The only problem I found was the (what I presume) was the owner made me feel rushed. Apart from that the Jade Palace is always perfect.

Excellent All You Can Eat Sunday Night - review added on Wed 2nd Jan 2008

A group of us have been going for an annual Sunday night all you can eat chinese for a few years now and it's only a local restaurant to one of the five couples (and they've been fairly regular customers over many years). Whilst the service is usually very good and friendly we have had dishes forgotten and I think the owner can be a bit straight-faced sometimes but this is rare, overall we are very satisfied with the service especially from the jovial younger waiter. We never feel rushed and the food always seems freshly cooked and the choice is approx. 100 dishes. Value for money seems excellent and we're due another visit soon, we can't wait! The toilets are pleasant, always clean and supplied with soap and loo paper. Decor and ambience are pleasant and fitting for the size and type of the restaurant.
