Uppers is consistent, and offers a broad menu at middle price with good service; despite the area being awash with restaurants, consistent quality is a rarity.There's variety from boring old chile; nicely presented, to venison, steak and a medly of European dishes. Service is usually pretty good, although not perfect! The atmosphere is cosy and discrete, an ideal place for that first date, when you are not sure what menu to pick - but beware the vegetarian selection, which can be limited.
