A tiny little place that's the training ground for the much more grand Le Poussin country house hotel up the road, Simply Poussin is a real find. The room is very small, with about ten tables, so you'd be forgiven for feeling jammed in. But the service is very personal and very attentive. And the food is superb, if a little pricey. A mix of English basics with a French flair for sauces, with absolutely top rate ingredients.

Small friendly restaurant. Great food at reasonable prices - especially their menu at £15 for two courses. Service good. The wine list is impressive with some excellent house wines. Nice touches - olives on arrival and petit fours with coffee.

Simply Poussin is a delightful meal in the New Forest. - review added on Wed 17th Sep 2008
What can we say a great lunch, delicious well balanced food with great tastes. Loved the fact alot of produce was local. The service was just right, relaxed but attentive to the clients. The staff were superb. Head Waiter from Brittany had a passion for food and customer service.
The only problem was there was some thing wrong with the table water, it did not taste right, something wrong with the Water Filter.
