We really love the Kohinoor, and now I've been there so many times they give us free drinks... O and my boyfriend likes the paintings of the dancing ladies!

No visit to Southampton is complete without a visit to the best curry house in town.Spectacular starters, succulent mains and perfectly cooked breads make this place a treat. On weekends you will need to book!

Good For Small Groups On A Tight Budget. - review added on Tue 20th Jun 2006
I could never quite understand why ex-southampton students raved about this small curry house set in a very ordinary suburb of Southampton. To be honest, after visiting twice, I still can't. The service is friendly but fairly incompetent and the kitchen obviously has problems when faced with groups of more than 4. Our meals (with 12 and 9 people respectively) were very bland *english*indian currys that were on the cooler side of warm. The wait for our mains was about 45mins from ordering. All in all, i'd definitely visit somewhere else unless you live in Portswood, are desperate for a curry and don't have transport to visit another.
