Having moved down to Hereford from manchester (with loads of excellent vegetarian cafes, I wondered where I would get a decent lunch. The Cafe at All Saints is it. I regularly visit and have tried a number of dishes - they also have occasional evening meals on friday nights - but my favourite is roast tofu and mushroom sandwiches.I defy anyone to not like them. They're the best vegetarian substitute for bacon sandwiches I've ever had (not that they taste like bacon). The salads are great - try the 'health bowl' with lots of grains and lentils in. And the home-baked bread is excellent, if cut a little chunky for some folk.I'm not a great one for sweets, but my partner is and she recommends the lemon tart and anything that looks like chocholate brownies. Finally they've got the best espresso machine in Hereford.Excellent.

How many places are there where you can eat in a top quality building (a medieval church) and up in the rafters and next to the arches! As a venue it is hard to beat and seems very popular with the crowds at lunch time. The choice is Veggie - hurrah - its about time there were more exclusive Veggie places. I met the owners who were very nice and friendly. I had driven from Bristol to eat here!
