Review from the perspective of someone quite drunk ) - review added on Sun 2nd May 2004
Went on Saturday (May 2004) with a group of friends. They managed to get us a table, for 10 people at late notice which was great. The frascati on the wine list was quite pleasant (we got through 5 bottles of it!). I had medallions of beef with peppercorn sauce, (basically steak), with a side order of vegetables which was pretty tasty. The waiter was a bit crazy, he used my first name (once he'd obtained it) rather than the customary 'sir' - which was quite amusing (we were all considerably less than sober anyway).I recommend you accept the garlic pizza bread pre-starter (we had normal starters as well). It had lots of cheese on it, and a sprinkling of rosemary - Very Tasty!

Whilst I agree food is very important Service is just as important to me if not more. The Manager at your restaurant is unique. My partner and I have never had such good service and I have dined at the Mayfair in London and indeed many locations all over the world. My partner is Italian so he is very aware of the food quality. My belief is that your restaurant would be nothing without this man. He is attentive fun caring and makes everyone including his staff special. If you want your restaurant to continue with the success it enjoys for God sake pay this man what he is worth.
