Been to this restaurant a few times and each time we have had perfect service. I am booking up this August bank holiday to take my husband out for our first wedding anniversary. Certainly a favourite for us.

Friendly staff and nice decor. Food is nicely cooked and 'eat as much as you like' from set menu is fun. Portions are tiny, so order duplicates of favourite dishes. Good value, comfortable setting.

Eaten in many restaurants. This was the worst. - review added on Fri 7th Apr 2006
Last night my partner and myself went to this restaurant. We were persuaded (constantly) to go for the buffet menu rather than what we actually wanted. For starters we ordered shredded chicken, seaweed, sesame prawn on toast and stuffed crabs claw with pancake rolls. We waited approximately three quarters of an hour for the starters to arrive. When they turned up I was stunned. Our six starters were so small they were served on one plate. We had 2 triangles of sesame toast, each no more than one inch in length (thats one piece each!). The pancake rolls were no more than ONE INCH LONG! Again ONE EACH! The salad was hilarious as it was about seven strips of green leaf each about an inch long in a dish the size of an egg cup!I regularly eat at restaurants and only two weeks earlier had eaten at a restaurant buffet in Cambridgeshire where each starter ordered arrived on its own plate, the whole bil came to £25.00 including drinks and I was so impressed I tipped £10.00. Jade Garden is a joke and a complete insult. My partner suggested asking if we could have some more pancake rolls and sesame prawn toast. The look we were given said a thousand words. I felt like we had just asked the waitress to cut her right arm off.She returned with a plate with 2 pathetically small pieces of prawn toast again and two 1 inch long pancake rolls! As for the main course we gave up after waiting over an hour for it to arrive. We got our coats and went to the counter. I complained to the manager about the size of the portions and pointed out that the whole starters must have had a cost price of no more than one pound. The manager's attitude was very appalling. We settled on paying for the drinks but she refused my £5.00 note as it was slighlty torn and we had to provide her with another one! That £5.00 note was accepted without any problems this morning somewhere else.Jade Gardens is the place to go if you want to be legally mugged. Judging by the size of the starters I would say it's the perfect place to go if you enjoy the atmosphere of a restaurant but are actually on hunger strike.

Love it, I go there once every month. Love the people who work there and the atmosphere. I recommend the food, and the prices are very reasonable.I also like the fact that you can eat all you like, for a set price. Big thumbs up!!
