A disappointing restaurant. A unwelcoming approach to customers verging on rude.

Astonishing rudeness - review added on Thu 22nd Dec 2005

Towards the end of a lovely meal at Greggs, the waitresses began moving tables around round us and bumped into our table. My wife commented to a waitress who, with no apology, muttered under her breath as she walked away "There's not a lot I can do about it". Having paid the bill and inclusive 12% service charge I passed this complaint to Gavin Gregg the owner, whose reply to me was "Well I didn't think your wife was overly friendly with me when you came in"! I was gob-smacked! The food and ambience at this restaurant are lovely, but the rudeness and arrogance we experienced mean we will not go again and will make sure we let other know of our experience. For that reason alone the restaurant's AA rating should be questioned.
