A truly great Indian Restaurant - review added on Thu 16th Jun 2005

Make sure you book during peak times as this restaurant can get booked up. Complimentary freshly cooked poppadums are supplied on arrival. I have managed to work my way through most of the menu. This is authentic Indian cuisine. The portions are generous, well cooked and served by friendly, professional staff. Junakhi tends to attracts a fairly quiet clientele. The restaurant is on 2 floors and is softly lit accompanied by traditional indian music. Highly recommmended.

Junahki Tunbridge Wells - Terrible experience - review added on Fri 14th Nov 2008

I ordered Zafrani Kofta, Dal Bukhara, Paneer Pasanda and kebabs. The kofta and dal tasted of nothing. It had no flavour or spice. The so called 'dal' had no dal in it only a creamy sauce which I suspect is the same used in other dishes. The panner was very chewy and the sauce was a mix of ketchup and cream. Overall it literally left a terrible taste in my mouth.
