More than disappointed - review added on Fri 16th Dec 2005
The service was sooooo awful we nearly walked out and we were the only customers in there !! Both my steak and my husbands venison were undercooked. WE couldn't ask for it to be cooked a little further as there was no staff to be seen. he had diappear off upstairs somewhere. When our wine ran out we were not even asked if we were ok for drinks - let me again reiterate we were the only people dining in there at the time....Didn't once ask if your meal was ok.Didn't offer us dessert or coffee. The one and only waiting staff seemed to just fit us in as he happend to walk thru the restuarant when it suited him.Toilets are very poor - avoid them if you can. There is another review on another website worth reading.

Very disappointing meal recently. I wrote to the restaurant about it and they weren't even courteous enough to reply. We had 'tempura prawns' that were very expensive and yet were just like the sort of thing you could buy from Iceland - dipping sauce was out of a jar.My husband's pheasant was as tough as leather and inedible.Worst course was the dessert - orange pancake with marmalade ice cream. Ice cream OK but pancakes were a lump of old batter that had been cooked a few days ago and reheated in the microwave. This cost £6.50. Our meal was £125 for two! We could have eaten at a top London restaurant for that price - very disappointing
