Description
This gem of a tea garden is not really in Tunbridge Wells (about 10 miles away) and nor is it just a Cafe (they serve a variety of freshly cooked food)! It's about a mile off the B2026 north of Hartfield village - look out for the "Tea Room"signs. Beautiful views across the Ashdown Forest from the outdoor seats and watch out for the peacocks strutting around the gardens.Style of food on offer: Cafe / Coffee Shop

Beautiful setting. Best cream teas in South-east. Incredibly friendly service from Sue and Peter. I am a regular visitor with my wife and always the service is spot-on.

Poor Service and quality of food - review added on Sun 10th Aug 2008
We did not have a nice welcome at this pretty tea room with gardens. The sandwiches were very poor quality for the price. The bread was stale. The shepherds pie dry and not tasty. the soup was watery. the service very poor and sloppy. The pretty gardens were spoilt by dog faeces. Finding a table was difficult because of this!
