Traditional table service in a modern setting - review added on Thu 2nd Oct 2003
Those of us old enough to remember the "Nippies"at the Lyons Tea Rooms will appreciate The Nutmeg Tree.Table service provided in several comfortable themed sections, give a variety for repeat visits. Choose from a wide range of teas, with mouthwatering cakes. Light lunch snacks make this an ideal place to eat.It won't appeal to children due to the total lack of fast food, which means you won't see many of them around. This helps to make a break for tea or lunch a childless event. Wonderful!

I live in Luxembourg, and if I ever win the lottery, I am going to bring this brilliant restaurant to Luxembourg - and franchise it worldwide!As it is, I return to the UK 4 or 5 times a year, and without fail always make a visit to the Nutmeg Tree for Cream tea...
