A New Chef: Outstanding food - review added on Sat 30th Aug 2003
The Foxhound inn is now our favorite place to eat. The food is freshly cooked to order and is served in their very smart restaurant. They offer a good variety of dishes and if you want something out of the ordinary the chef is only to pleased to oblige.

The foxhounds inn is the place to eat! It is fresh pub grub! All my family and frinds have eaten at the Foxhound and agreed that it is very good food. I would highly recomend it!! It has a friendly atmosphere and is suitable for children.

Excellent food, friendly service, HUGE portions. Owned by the same people that own The Denison inn in Ayton - which is pretty much the same.

Four Years great meals BUT - review added on Tue 19th Feb 2008
Sunday 17/2/2008 the beef was awful even my dogs could not chew it! my favourite battered Parsnips were not fully, cooked very woody! What has happened do we have a new staff? or were they too busy to cope. Our favourite wine is not available so we had to have Chenin Blanc white wine, the last time I tasted anything as bad was Egypt.I will go again with fingers crossed but always order Lamb the best meal I have always ordered, just thought I'd like a change!!!Ha!
