Customer Reviews for McDonald's - Scarborough

Appauling service.. and sickening food.. - review added on Fri 12th Dec 2003

Where to start is the question..OK, the first problem I encountered there was when a friend of mine was visiting Scarborough and we happened to go to McDonalds. We were waiting for our food and a friend of mine, who has a mental problem, so as he is incapable of handling difficult situations, made a comment to me privately about the speed of the food. The person who was at the till then, in an abrupt and almost offensive manor said "what was that?"- knowing that my friend wouldn't be able to come up with something instantainiously, I replied "he was talking to me"- the reply from the till attendent was "He better have been". You don't go to a McDonalds resteraunt and expect to be threatened. My friend doesn't have tact, but he was talking about McDonalds in general, not about the specific attendent! Following the incident we complained about it. Seemingly nothing was done and a few weeks later this guy was cashier monitor (in charge of all till attendents)! My next visit there - the same attendent commented when I asked for a burger "with a side order of mucus?"- I took it light heartedly but obviously I wasnt impressed!I can't go in when he's in without him smirking at me or my friend now - how wonderful!Another time, totally not related to that incident (the guy wasnt in on his shift - woohoo!) me and another friend ordered food, he asked for 2 plain double cheese burgers, but got 2 normal single cheeseburgers. he took them back and re-ordered. And what he got second time round put me off eating for at least 30 seconds (as you can tell it takes a lot to put me off) - he got 2 plain double cheeseburgers, yes. But one of the burgers was half raw, and upon slight pressure a reddy watery liquid, that appeared to be blood oozed out of the burger - if it wasnt for my friend's eating habbits of opening up the burgers and putting fries in before - he could have took a bite out of a raw burger! - yum!The resteraunt gets too busy, they need to open more tills, and they also need to clearly state what the express till can be used for! I observed someone stand in the "express"till que for 20minutes only to be told they don't do that at that til - and he had to stand in one of the 2 other tils that were open at the time. So, if you dont want to wait in a queue for 40 minutes, only to get threatened by the attendent, then again the attendent threatens to vandilise your order, and get to your table to find a mess and your food is only half cooked.
