Customer Reviews for Fox and Roman - York

A Change Of Menu. - review added on Tue 13th Mar 2007

My wife and I are regular diners and it was a change to notice the menu had altered. From this new menu I ordered steak pie that tasted nice but the pastry was very hard, my wife ordered the warm chicken salad which again was ok apart from the fact it contained a lot of bacon (which was not on the menu). When saying this to the staff they thanked us for pointing this out and stated there was a discrepency between the customer menu and that of the chefs. This is just not good enough if you order a meal you expect to get what is stated on the menu.

everything was great and I loved the food the service and dining area, it all makes for one of the best pubs I've been in, in York. The value is brilliant for the quality of the food and I will definitely tell my friends about this pub and I will be back very very soon for another taste of great British pub food, how it should be.
