Not much food, but great for a drink - review added on Sun 25th Mar 2001
I've never eaten any of the food here, but I regularly have a drink here since it's situated in the middle of York's major shopping area. Yet, it's a very quiet little (and I do mean little) place which has a good variety of different coffees, plus drinks for those not so keen on coffee. The food did look appetising, and it was all freshly perpared, so I'd look to eat here in future.The staff were incredibly friendly; there were only two people there when I visited but this was adequate for a cafe of such a small size, but we were holding a conversation for the duration of my stay.Another advantage from my point of view was that smokers had to go outside - as an asthmatic this meant I could actually breathe while having a drink!
