Customer Reviews for Royal Dragon Restaurant - York

One of best Chinese Restaurants in York - review added on Sun 25th May 2003

Crispy Duck was sensational. Service prompt and friendly. Fried rice perfect, not greasy or sticky. Prices reasonable. The only better Chinese I've had in York was at Maxis but be prepared to pay double what you pay here!

Great Food At Fantastic Prices. - review added on Thu 23rd Jun 2005

Been here quite a few times. They do a buffet Mon-Thur which is extremely good value considering the high quality of the food. The regular menu is also good value and the food excellent.

This was the worst experience we have ever had in a restaurant. We were in York for the Easter break and booked a table for 9.00 Sunday night. When we got there, we were intially told that it shut at 9.30 but when they realised we had booked they very grudgingly set up a table. One of the waiters then spent the rest of the meal stamping around the restaurant and shouting at the others, making it very clear that we weren't welcome. Everything was banged down on our table and as we ate each course, three of the waiters/waitresses stood one table away, arms crossed staring at us. The starters were ok, the crispy duck was good but the main courses were bland and tastless. We had finished everything before 10.00 and as we walked out they slammed the door behind us. If I hadn't been there I wouldn't have believed it. I almost expected Jeremy Beadle to jump out. Absoultely dire - would not go back if you paid me!
