Customer Reviews for Balooshai Central - Huddersfield

Forget Bradford - This is fantastic - review added on Sat 30th Aug 2003

We don't eat out too often at curry houses as we have a young daughter. We have a Balooshai take away at least once a month. It is more expensive than the usual but is fantastic food. We are semi-veggies (we eat Fish!).The tuna, both starter and main course are to die for.The daal tarka has bits of fried potato in it, exquisite touch!Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. The place itself is very modern and relaxed.

Great! True taste of India - review added on Wed 28th Jan 2004

The food was absolutely fabulous, I had a chikken tikka and lamb buhuna. The sexy mushroom was brilliant and the service was too. They were very kind and were very considerate. The restaurant looks modern and not like a stereotypical restaurant with carpets. Food was worth the money.

Absolutely Great - review added on Thu 18th Mar 2004

This was the best restuarant I've been to. I'm from Leeds and I've just moved to Huddersfield and went to The Balooshai just to check how the food was as I am a fan of Indian curry. The dim lights make you feel relaxed but it was quite small. The food itself was to die for. I could only praise the chefs.

SEXY Mushroom Masala - review added on Fri 14th Jan 2005

This place is great. It has moved to central Hudersfield from Honley. The high standards are set by its owners who seem to be ever present. The attention to service is matched by the excellent and imaginative food.

Bangladesh Flava's Indian Curry Resturant Chapel Hill Huddersfield - review added on Fri 11th Apr 2008

This Resturant is placed were the Changeing Lights Night Club used to be in the 1970's opposite the Ethos Night club and Bingo Hall at Folly Hall. My 2 friends and I go there every week, tried other Indian Resturants and we still keep coming back for more. No where have we met such friendly and very polite staff, who make you feel welcome with a smile and first class service that puts every other business to shame. The decor is very contemporary and very clean and to a high standard, and the Plates are hot and the table cloths cleanly pressed always, I'm so happy we found this place and I want to tell you all, you can thank me later by leaving me one in behind the bar, mines a Larger. The menu is Fab, a four course meal for £8.90 From Mon to Thurs and don't let the outside fool you or put you off because its clean and modern and they have done everything right and If I ran a business it would be done this way -My usual consists of :- Pickle tray with popadoms, not greasy either, the pickles are first class and a lot of thought and effort is put into this with five different dips and lots of it, and all to die for. A Lamb Balti Jalfry aisan style with fresh green peppers WOO! WHOO!I like my curry hot, a Pilo rice a serving of chips, and a beautiful and the best ever & they should be famed for this The Peshwari Nan, hot fluffed up and risen, freshly made, and ive had these take-away too and their still lovely. The drinks are normal pub prices and not over priced and a night out for three with a pint and a half of Larger and a Martini and Lemonade and a jug of iced water with a lemon slice is only about £32.00 and rrecently, although I felt rather cheeky because I don't know how they can do it for the price, but we've used the £5.00 voucher off as well. Making a grand total of £27.00 for three people. Cheap night out Ladies and Parking in the Bingo place across the Road also.
