I Don't Think So - review added on Mon 5th Jul 2004
A few of us went together on a Sat. night, the place is refurbished and given a new name Zen, but the interior design is a strange mix of local Chinese taste and western trendiness. Upstairs is the bar area, nothing special about it, nothing like the comments given by some. The food is just as disppointing, far from being authentic. You can virtually get exactly the same stuff from any Chinese takeaway in Leeds for less than a third of the prices. For a better Chinese experience go to places like Maxi's or Lucky Dragon in Leeds. For more trendy crowd who prefer a nice surroundings and good atmosphere, try some decent places like Sous Le Nez En Ville or the new BIBIs in Leeds.

Superb - review added on Wed 7th Jan 2004
The Zen Rendezvous is in my opinion the best Chinese restaurant in the Leeds area. Formally the Jade Unicorn, the facelift and refurb have added to the eating experience. Do not miss this one!

Well What Can You Say? - review added on Sun 24th Oct 2004
Zen Rendezvous a unique chinese restaurant. After its recent refurbishment it has gone with the traditional decor you see in many chinese restaurants and come back with a outstanding decor which makes your visit well worth it. The food is simply the best, it is cooked beautifully and the dishes are a resonable size so its worth the money you pay for it.The thing that amazed me the most was the attentiveness of the staff and their politeness and their professonalism. Zen Rendezvous is well worth the visit, although it is best to book because we had difficulty getting a table on saturday night.

Only Chinese - review added on Sun 25th Sep 2005
I m writing a report about the restaurants in Guiseley, and Zen Rendezvous (Jade Unicorn) sounds like a good restaurant, but frankly, its really the only one. The Anonymous at the top sounds a right snob, it doesnt mean you're not in the "trendy crowd"if you go there!

Best Reataurant in Leeds Area - review added on Tue 6th Dec 2005
This restaurant has won awards for being the best Chinese reataurant in Leeds. The food is outstanding. The service is excellent and the staff are fantastic. I must have been at least 40 times and have entertained many business clients who have always been impressed.

Not Cheap But Worth It. - review added on Fri 11th Aug 2006
I ignored the first review. Then we went. Fab food, ace service, just a tasty bit different. Modern, trendy decor, real people with a smile serving us. Even the loo was clean. Will be going again. We had the £19/head menu and it was excellent.Sizzling dishes are smaller than ordinary.

Highly Recommended - review added on Sun 26th Nov 2006
I've eaten at Zen many times. The service is excellent, the food is fresh and delicious, and the place is generally bustling. I can not think of a negative thing to say about it. Yum.
