Buttermints - These are delicious - rich and creamy and laced with a subtle minty flavour - a really wonderful combination of rich Devon Cream indulgence with fresh mint.These are made by our pals at Stockleys, and they're the best we've tasted - such a traditional British sweet, and so so utterly delicious!

Crumbly Butter Fudge - we have spent the past few months doing some serious fudge research, and we can confidently say that this is unquestionably the BEST we've tasted. It's absolutely stunning!We tried so many different types, many of them really delicious, but none of them quite hit the mark like this one does (and we know our fudges!)The taste is DIVINE, and the texture is just right - not too soft (like so many of these new-fangled modern fudges, but not too hard (like, say, Kendal Mint Cake).

Then we'll begin. . . the sweets were made by Mother Noblett's Toffee Shop in the Liverpool district of Everton. The black and white mints (reflecting the old Everton strip) were made to be distributed among the fans at matches, and they were jolly popular, just as they are today!So, there you go! A nice bit of trivia courtesy of the anoraks at A Quarter Of!

Plum and Mint... eugh.Polos are pressed under the pressure equivalent to two fully grown elephants jumping up and down on them. Ouch.There is a 158ft Polo Tower in Morecambe.
