Sweets - Rock

Coltsfoot Rock
Coltsfoot Rock - £2.42
Price on 28-Oct-09 from A Quarter Of....
Coltsfoot Rock Sticks - hard sticks of brittle rock flavoured with Coltsfoot (a plant with hoof shaped leaves) People used to dry and smoke the leaves to relieve asthma and the juice was used as a cough cure. The taste is strangely addictive!

Edinburgh Rock
Edinburgh Rock - £2.52
Price on 28-Oct-09 from A Quarter Of....
Edinburgh Rock - This is just so deliciously soft and crumbly... I love to just let a piece sit on my tongue and let it slowly melt away...  If your memories of rock are the hard minty stuff with Cleethorpes through it (please subsitute Cleethorpes with the name of your favourite British seaside resort) then give this a whirl... it is very different and, in our opinion, far, far deliciouser (yes I know that deliciouser doesn`t exist really but it ought to!)

Liquorice Cream Rock
Liquorice Cream Rock - £2.12
Price on 28-Oct-09 from A Quarter Of....
Liquorice Cream Rock - a soft centre wrapped in liquorice.

Liquorice Rock Sticks
Liquorice Rock Sticks - £2.42
Price on 28-Oct-09 from A Quarter Of....
Liquorice Rock Sticks - these are really traditional sweets. They are hard sticks of brittle rock with the distinctive taste of liquorice. If you have never tried these - and you like your liquorice - we heartily recommend that you try them.

Rhubarb Rock
Rhubarb Rock - £2.52
Price on 28-Oct-09 from A Quarter Of....
Rhubarb Rock - really good this one - the distinctive flavour of rhubarb in pieces of fruit flavour rock. It even looks like rhubarb with the pink and green colours - how clever!

Stockleys Fruit Rock
Stockleys Fruit Rock - £2.42
Price on 28-Oct-09 from A Quarter Of....
Stockleys Fruit Rock - hard to describe - its sort of chalk consistency, fruit flavoured and it dissolves in your mouth. If you`ve tried it you will know how good it is, and if you haven`t you really should!!

`Edwardian` Fruit Rock
`Edwardian` Fruit Rock - £2.03
Price on 28-Oct-09 from A Quarter Of....
"Edwardian" Fruit Rock - wrapped rock pieces in a variety of fruity flavours - a bit like you get at the seaside. Why is it Edwardian? Not sure really - maybe that`s when this sort of thing became popular -
