Sweets - Toffee

Treacle Toffee Bangers
Treacle Toffee Bangers - £2.22
Price on 28-Oct-09 from A Quarter Of....
Treacle Toffee Bangers - think treacle toffee (a rich, treacly, boiled sweet) and then add a fizzy orange sherbet centre (same sort of principle as a sherbet lemon - but fizzier - ) Why a banger? Because the sherbet explodes in your mouth once you have sucked through the treacke toffee (ok - a little artistic licence used there but you know what I mean!!) Some people also call these Bonfire Toffee Bangers because they are fab on Fireworks Night - but its such a terrible shame to only enjoy them then - they are just too good! They are incredibly moreish -

Walkers Banana Split Toffee
Walkers Banana Split Toffee - £2.03
Price on 28-Oct-09 from A Quarter Of....
Walkers Banana Split Eclair Toffee - we know a bloke called Dave - he`s a complete sweets guru having been in the industry for loads of years.  He knows about pretty well every sweet you can think of... or that you can remember.  And he knows how to make the majority of them too.  And he swears by Walkers toffee (which makes quite a change because he swears ABOUT pretty well everything else!).  So we thought we should stock lots of Walkers toffee... because Dave said so! There`s something about banana and toffee that makes it a winning combination in my humble opinion.  It makes my mouth water just thinking about it!  And one of the best things about these particular sweets is that the banana bit is sort of sandwiched in the toffee... so you get the rich toffee taste first and then the banana kicks in (sounds a bit like a wine review!  the big difference between our sweet reviews and wine reviews though is that we wouldn`t dream of spitting anything out... mind you I wouldn`t if I was reviewing wine either!!!) Serving suggestion (I always wanted to say that!): leave it in a warm place for a really chewy treat... or stick it in the fridge if you like your toffee cold, hard and suckable (and if you want it to last longer in your mouth!)

Walkers Brazil Nut Toffee Slabs

Walkers Brazil Nut Toffee Chunks are great - smooth rich creamy toffee with big brazilly nutty chunks.  And the fact that it comes in little proper breakable offable slabs is even better (bet you never thought you`d see toffee in slabs again). Serving suggestion (I always wanted to say that!): leave it in a warm place for a really chewy treat... or stick it in the fridge if you like your toffee cold, hard and suckable (and if you want it to last longer in your mouth!)
