Negative first impressions - but I changed my mind - review added on Fri 14th Apr 2000
I found this restaurant slightly off-putting at first - there was no non-smoking section at all, and I didn't really think I would like the food. Had I been dining on my own, I wouldn't have selected the Stonehouse. My opinion changed when I found my roasted spare ribs with potato wedges to be delicious! The restaurant is fairly expensive and I don't think it presented very good value for money. The good thing about the restaurant though is that it does have a carpark nearby - this is a public carpark, and is free to use in the evening.

Top Steaks - review added on Fri 27th Sep 2002
Went to the stonehouse recently for a friend's birthday. Food excellent. Steaks were like doorsteps, service 100% friendly and efficient. Spent a fortune, but hey, it was worth it. Will definately go back and recommend to others.

Great Variety - review added on Fri 13th Dec 2002
This restaurant has a lively atmosphere and you can make your dining as formal or informal as you wish. Great choice of a la carte dishes or you can eat from the tapas menu or even have sizzling steak served to you on a stone and cook it yourself!!!I love the variety on the menu and would choose this venue both for a quick bite to eat or a special ocassion.
