Customer Reviews for Villa Toscana - Bangor

Avoid!!! - review added on Sun 6th Apr 2008

What an awful experience!! We used to love it here but on a Saturday night at 6.00 I expected much better!! The Glasses were dirty on arrival with lipstick marks still on them, the waiting staff not particularly pleasant, the food expensive and standards there have slipped too (didn't mind the prices when the food was good!), pizza used to be the best around but was chewy with few toppings and frankly not as nice as the stuff I make myself and I'm not Italian! Them came desserts a friend found something rubbery and clear like plastic in his cheesecake - called the waitress over the explain and she immediately came up with a roll of the tongue explanation about how it was a lump of gelatine and the rest of his serving would be ok - how did she know? No offer of a replacement dessert and strange as it may seem he didn't fancy the rest of it having chewed on a lump of gelatine!!! Normally not behind the door in leaving a tip for a job well done but on this occasion we didn't leave them a penny more than the cost of our bill!! In one word - Avoid!!!!
