Simply the best, not to be missed. - review added on Thu 27th Nov 2003
OK its not cheap, but its great value for money. A stone's throw from the Castle, it is really two Restaurants in one - the secret garden and the Witchery. I recommend you ask for the Witchery dining room. You are greeted by a bust of Satan and the candelight shows just enough details of the carvings, oak panels and zodiac signs that give this restaurant a unique atmosphere. The staff are well trained and very pleasant. They do a pre-theatre menu at a good price, but the food is always brilliant and they have an extensive wine list. You'll want to come time and again.
