We only stopped at the hotel for a meal in its restaurant. Have you seen the movie with Michael Douglas who orders breakfast at 11.05 in a McDonalds, but they won't give him one, because breakfast servings stops at 11.00? Well...something similar happened to us in this restaurant. We entered a completely empty restaurant and selected a table.....but didn't see the "reserved"sign. The waitrer asked us to move to another table (he could have moved the "reserved"thing), but OK....we should have looked better. Now here the fun starts. We entered at 18.00....had to wait 10 minutes before the waitrer (a mumbling guy) asked what we wanted (soup + sandwich), and then we were told that they stop serving soup+sandwiches at 18.00. Bloody hell.....should I take a machine gun and do the same as Michael Douglas? For god sake, we want to pay 20-40 pounds for a meal. If I want to have a soup+sandwich at 18.10, then give me a soup+ sandwich. Customer is king. Needless to say we did not leave a tip, and did not order anything else, and will not come back.
