It's not often I go to chicken restaurants, as I for one am not a big fan of chicken on the whole. However, I found Nando's Wood Green to be a warm, very friendly restaurant, with service faster than most fast food outlets! The entire meal came to under £8, including a refillable drink and after some dinner coffee. I had the quarter chicken with two side dishes, with the medium spiciness level. I found it a bit too spicy, as I'm not a big fan of spicy food in general (what's the point of my mouth being burnt so much I can't taste my food?), but as it's only the outside of the chicken that has the sauce, it was hugely enjoyable. The portion size was just right, with the side dish of spicy rice and fries just enough to fill you up and leave enough space for drinks. However, note that in Nando's you are not waited on- you have to choose your meal then queue up at a counter to order your meal. You also have to get your own drinks. This may be an inconvenience to some, but it is duly reflected in the prices. Highly recommended!
