Nice but unclean - review added on Mon 23rd Oct 2006

I went for a meal at the Bombay the other day and I was impressed with the decor. I wasn't impressed with the food, which wasn't very good. I then find out that they received zero stars from their recent environmental health visit. That means that they're a health risk. How can places like this remain open?

Bad food and really bad Service - review added on Mon 26th Mar 2007

Got a takeaway from Bombay on Sat night (24/03/2007) and found the place to be unclean, and the service to be rude and unpolite. Person on the counter was rude and seems like I should be thankful I was giving him my money rather than the other way around. Guy needs some lessons in manners. Place should be shut down. People please avoid going there for your food.

We eat at the Bombay on a regular basis. We have never had bad food or bad service and are shocked at the reviews above. I would defiantly recommend if you fancy a good night out with high quality food!

Is this place s**t or what? - review added on Sat 18th Oct 2008

May be I am being a bit extreme, but they do a decent curry. Thinking of standard decent currys, uncle bens and pataks of the shelf from ASDA or Tesco might be a better choice. The staff have a disturbing attitude, they prefer to huddle around the bar rather than attend to the customers. I had to get up three times from my table tired of waiting to tell them what I wanted. On asking for a feedback form, the simple answer was 'no'... I did rather throw money down my cistern than go there again... I cannot rate them below 1 on this website or else... you can guess the score I would have given them ;-)

Good Food - Slow Service - review added on Sun 26th Oct 2008

25.10.08 - Went for a meal with the family. The food was very good and tasty. Except the Pasta we ordered for our boy was obviously cooked too early and was dry and hard by the time we got it. But they did not charge us for this. Also the bill does not show the break down of the drinks, so you cannot be sure what you are being charged for.
