I Heart China Rose - review added on Sat 13th Aug 2005

I love the china rose, the chefs there are truly amazing and talented, the service was ok, however I think that the manager is false there, he had no manners what so ever, and was rude when i asked for the bill! The meal was expensive however well worth it! A tip for the manager learn some MANNERS!

The best in Yorkshire - review added on Mon 8th Jan 2007

A truly wonderful restaurant with marvellous food. A relaxed drink in a lounge area to start with followed by a great table with friendly people nearby. This is the best Chinese food i have ever tasted bar none. A set meal for 2 along with 2 pints and 2 glasses of wine for approx £45 (inc tip). The portions were typical of any Chinese restaurant but although my tummy was full i just kept on eating. Great for a romantic evening or any type of party/function.

Not As Good As One May Think. - review added on Mon 17th Dec 2007

Wine ridiculously expesive (18 pounds upwards. The food was in general very average, however, the sweet and sour chicken was the worst I have had. Just plain fried chicken (no crispy coating or batter)with a flat sauce (no onion or pineapple)like ketchup and the Chilly beef was more like a stir fry. The local take away food is better! You pay for the posh setting.

Family favorite - review added on Fri 12th Sep 2008

We go to the china rose for every special occasion, the china rose never!!! has poor food!! The deep fried chilli beef if my fav it is served in a birds nest and never disapoints, I also recomend the palun bang chicken, lemon chicken, beef in black bean and they have a squid started that is amazing (bt I can never remember the name) This is a friendly family run resturant and nearly every on in doncaster enjoys it if they did not why would they nearly always be full!
