I have been to Shorties on a number of ocassions and have never been disappointed. Their food is excellent and my favourite garlic mushrooms are not one to miss. Diane sauce on my fillet steak is also what I always order. It is yummy with chips. As for desserts, there are loads of classic style tall ice-creams in every flavour you can think of. The place is cosy and not like anywhere else. It is quite the opposite of a modern, flash, bland, poncey restaurant. It has character and service with a smile. The waitresses are always happy to see you with service you can't fault. The bosses must treat their staff well! This is undoubtedly the best restaurant in Portsmouth and all those who go to Shorties know that.

i have been to shorties on a number if occasions, it is my favourite!! always going for the garlic mushrooms, they are not to be missed, and the fillet steak is amazing! cocktails are also lovely, pina colada being my fave!
