Never again - review added on Fri 22nd Apr 2005
The service was appallingly slow. They failed to get my order correct. The food - I'd rather eat cardboard. The chips were undercooked and the battered sausage was over-cooked. My wife enjoyed her fishcakes though. If the food was palatable, the long wait wouldnt have mattered.

Disappointing - review added on Sun 16th Mar 2008
It felt like we waited for ever for service. Even then, the drinks order was wrong and the waiter didn't understand what bread and butter was when we asked for it.
There were six of us and we waited nearly an hour for our food which was pretty average when it came.

Had Better - review added on Mon 18th Aug 2008
I went to Harry Ramsdens Saturday 16th August 2008. It was not a good experience.
We arrived at 11.55 - it was closed (website says it opens 11.30). It was wet and cold outside and we were gruffly told to come back when it was open.
Firstly the tea was served cold and we had to send it back. One of the other drinks didn't arrive. Food was served to 5 out of 6 of us in reasonable time but my 3 year old didn't get his meal until we had nearly finished. It was of average quality at best. No apologies for the late arrival of his meal. Then the opposite happened with the desert - 1 arrived then after a delay the others came.
The bill was £74 we paid it all with tesco's vouchers but were then told it was £84 - we noticed that some alcoholic drinks had been added that we did not have. So they made mistakes with everything, and no apologies (I'm not asking for much a quick "sorry about that" would have been enough to show some care).
There are lots of other resturants down the bay and some take Tesco's vouchers too - they have got to be better than this place
