I've Been to the Mughal many times over the last decade and have never had an experience like it. The service is very efficient, the food is first class and the environment is warm and friendly. I've eaten at many Indian restaurants, but honestly don't think anywhere else even comes close.

The Muhgal rates as one of the best Indian Restaurants I have ever visited. In my mind there are two categories of Indian eateries: the Curryhouse (one word) to be frequented after a large quantity of beer; and the "Indian Restaurant", a good restaurant serving Indian food. The Muhgal is right at the top of the tree in the "restaurant"camp and as far as you can go from the "Curryhouse".The decor is subtle and pleasing, the atmosphere relaxed and the service impeccable. Food portions are ample, without being challenging, and the quality of food is excellent. I strongly recommend a tall bottle of Cobra beer to wash down a good curry.Booking is advisable but, if you're unlucky and cannot get a table, the take-away service is also very good.I often use the Muhgal if dining informally with visiting colleages, or with friends and family. Excellent place.
