Evening Meal in the Bar - review added on Wed 17th May 2000
The food was very good for "pub"food. The menu is extensive but rarely changes. The staff were attentive, though the place was almost empty at 7pm on a Wednesday night! The customers were generally older, except for us of course! I tried the Tikka Massalla with the traditional Welsh 'half and half' (half rice/half chips). It was very good. The only annoyance is their habit of 'reserving' tables for 6 people or 7 people. You end up sitting on a table for 4 which is much too small.Rumour has it that the place has been sold after 15 years in the same hands so what changes are on the way?

Took friends to lunch at the Victoria Inn. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Extensive menu at reasonable prices. Agree with previous review, tables are a little small especially if there are 4 people. Would definitely recommend.
