Rocca Colmontano 2006
Rocca Colmontano 2006 - £6.29
Price on from Laithwaites.
Deliciously drinkable, this cherry-scented crowd pleaser comes from Italy's ''spectacular' (Giorni del Vino) 2006 vintage. In the glass, that means even more silky redcurrant flavour - and top value. Typically Italian to the very last drop!

Riverina Estate Shiraz 2006
Riverina Estate Shiraz 2006 - £6.99
Price on from Laithwaites.
Every release from International Wine Challenge Trophy-winner Sam Trimboli is a wine to watch out for ... and this masterpiece is a bargain too! Sam's new Shiraz comes from prized vineyard plots in the heart of the Riverina Estate, and shares the hallmarks of all of his finest reds - plenty of rich fruit flavour yet it's balanced, not overpowering, and temptingly drinkable. Careful oak-ageing brings out the tasty, succulent dark fruit and spice of the premium Shiraz grapes making it a brilliant partner for herby grilled lamb or sausages.

Chateau Belle Cure 2005
Chateau Belle Cure 2005 - £6.99
Price on from Laithwaites.
''Bordeaux Superieur represents a huge leap in quality from standard Bordeaux, yet the wines are just as affordable'' (Decanter magazine). The exceptional Chateau Belle Cure 2005 offers you 'perfect vintage' claret at a price that is nothing short of - stunningly good value! Succulent, harmonious and Cabernet-rich, it's superbly crafted under the watchful eye of the brilliant Pascal Poussevin, consultant to Jeremie Lurton of the famous Bordeaux dynasty, owners of multiple cru classe estates. Powerful, yet eminently drinkable Cabernet with the fine balance so typical of this awesome vintage. Layer upon layer of mouthwatering blackcurrant and cherry.

Baron de Barbon Reserva 2004
Baron de Barbon Reserva 2004 - £11.39
Price on from Laithwaites.
Hugely satisfying Reserva with all the class and style you'd expect from this outstanding estate. Skilful maturation in oak has framed the core of intensely deep, ripe fruit with deliciously spicy tannins. Will be drinkable on release yet can be cellared until at least 2013. A shrewd choice for those looking for the perfect combination of indulgence and ageing potential.

Chateau Francois Brugier 2004
Chateau Francois Brugier 2004 - £6.99
Price on from Laithwaites.
Between the rivers Dordogne and Garonne - and hence the name meaning 'between two seas' - the Entre-Deux-Mers has proved to be a dazzling source of extremely drinkable, excellent quality and very good value whites - if you know where to find them. Not far from the ancient walled city of Sauverterre, in the village of Romagne is the small estate of Chateau Francois Brugier which makes this classic Bordeaux white blend of Sauvignon and Semillon. The minerally, herbaceous freshness of the Sauvignon is given extra body and a richer, more rounded honeyed flavour by the Semillon, making this a perfect wine for food. And 2004 has proved an excellent vintage for whites thanks to its cooler start to the harvest, helping seal in freshness.
