Robert Nicolle
Robert Nicolle - £68.34
Price on from Laithwaites.
''Make hay whilst this glorious sun shines'' is Jancis Robinson's advice for the ''outstanding'' 2006 Chablis vintage - and our top pick would be this mouthwatering gem ... from our favourite small estate! When Robert and his wife Josette set up their domaine over 20 years ago, they brought together two Chablis winemaking families ... to critical acclaim. They are first port of call when we visit Chablis each year ... and their 2006 is the best we've tasted since the classic 2002s. Wonderful ripe fruit and Summer flower aromas. Crisp, fresh and extremely elegant - with that distinctive minerality typical of great Chablis. A huge favourite at tastings and here at HQ ... order yours today!

Haut Cabirou 2004
Haut Cabirou 2004 - £7.39
Price on from Laithwaites.
Haut-Cabirou is the kind of red everyone loves - warming, gorgeously smooth and brooding with 15% alcohol. The previous vintage scooped Gold in its own back yard plus a coveted Seal of Approval in London ... now you can secure your share of the latest release ... at a cracking low price. It comes from the village of Maury, high up in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Their most famous wine is a fortified, sweet red made just like traditional Port. A few years back, our buyers visited the cellar and were offered an unfortified glassful, straight from the barrel. And what a glassful! So warming and smooth we snapped it up there and then! Succulent Grenache from ancient, high altitude vineyards. Seductive red berry aromas and masses of deep plum and cassis flavours. A deft touch of spicy oak too - enjoy with char-grilled steak or ratatouille.

Domaine Liboreau Chardonnay 2006
Domaine Liboreau Chardonnay 2006 - £6.15
Price on from Laithwaites.
A quiet tip-off back in 1996 alerted us to this small domaine, inland from the stylish medieval port of La Rochelle and whose whites are kept beautifully fresh thanks to the nearby Atlantic. And our buying team are raving about the 2006 Chardonnay - an impressive follow-up to the exceptional 2005. This new release approaches Chablis levels of intensity and purity - very good wine at a modest price. Bright green gold with crisp aromas of freshly-sliced apple and citrus leading to rich fruit flavours with a well-balanced, creamy finish.

Bergsig Estate Lategan Touriga Nacional Reserve 2007
Bergsig Estate Lategan Touriga Nacional Reserve 2007 - £8.59
Price on from Laithwaites.
Located near Worcester on the Breede River, Bergsig Estate benefits from a warm, sun-strewn climate that ripens grapes to perfection! The winery has been in the Lategan family since 1843 - and today every member still lends a hand. De Wet Lategan is the chief winemaker, while his brothers Louis and Plum manage the vineyards under the watchful eye of their father, Prop Lategan. Touriga Nacional is one of the principal grapes used to make Port, and it's really taking off in the sun-soaked vineyards of the New World! Picked at maximum ripeness, this is our most powerful red yet, drinking beautifully now and over the next couple of years. Perfect with char-grilled steak.
